Pinlock 'ProTec' tint inserts

Don’t suppose anyone knows of anywhere with Pinlock ProTec tint inserts in stock - can’t seem to be able to find one anywhere, something about the factory burning down a while back and no more stock available, apparently!

Any suggestions gratefully received

I got mine from Racevisors.co.uk I think. If not it was the thevisorshop.com

Ideal for tonight. I’m off out in 30 mins and the sun’s shining bright and then it’ll be nice and clear for my night ride home.

Thanks Scotty, thried those but as everywhere else, out of stock.

So do you rate the protec tink pinlock? I’ve heard that it doesn’t tint particularly dark, but a good compromise?

Also, has anyone tried the Phoenix Fine Vision Photochromatic Lens? If so, how does it compare?

Sorry. I missed your post.

The clear is perfectly clear so it’s great for daytime use and no issues in the evenings.

In bright sunlight it’s not as dark as my dark tint visor but it does enough for me. It is a compromise but it’s so fecking useful that it more than makes up for it.

Thanks again Scotty, think I’ll definitely get one of the protec pinclocks when the start selling them again.

or get a lid with a “drop down” internal sunvisor ? saves faffing around

I had a Schuberth before with this. I found that the internal visor was located in the helmet’s vent airflow and it got fithly all the time. I had to take it out every week or two to clean it. I also found it annoying popping it up and down.

A flip is way better than nothing but having had both, I prefer the ProTec.

Yup, I do really like the idea of the flip-up internal sun visors, but couldn’t give up Arai, which are a great fit for me.

And as for Schuberth - I did try some on once as they are meant to be really quiet lids, but sweet baby Jesus of Nazareth - the size! Made my head look like an orange on a toothpick!

Sorry IE, haven’t tried those.
