No matter what you ride, THIS guy is faster on a multistrada! :w00t:
It’s just not the same since they put tarmac all the way up
I agree, made for some great footage and excellent test of driving skill.
It’s dumbed down now , I remember the first time I watched it on some satellite channel back on the days before everyone had satellite and most of it was german . Suzuki Escudo tearing from tarmac onto dirt, rooster tailing like a mad thing all the way up , 900bhp put down onto a dirt track :w00t:
Escudo Pikes Peak Suzuki was build in 1996. With Twin-Turbo V6 engine type, sized at 1998 ccm it was able to deliver 985 bhp @ 8100 rpm and 932 Nm @ 9500 RPM of torque
thats insane

Yeah that had some poke!
Similar madness to the Group B rally cars :w00t:
Here’s this years fastest run. Sebastien Loeb absolutely mullers the current record
That sounds gorgeous.
So why a Multistrada? The course is now all tarmac, surely a sports bike will get up there quicker!!

Believe it or not, sportbikes also take part, but still!
Pikes Peak has uphill tight corners, 7% average grades, and the Multi isn’t only about comfort and touring… trust me, it’s got a strong racing soul!
Its gearing, suspensions and torquey engine make it an unbeatable mountain road bike!
I just wish I could ride it like Greg Tracy :Wow:

Correct, short gearing and low down torque make this the choice. If I tried this with my bike I think I would hold the record for the fastest crash

Nah, that looks a bit “lacking” once you’ve been on a jetstream ride!
Cool vid:cool: I didnt know they’d tarmac’d the PP? Hence the Supermotos running in recent years?

Yep, and for the future I wouldn’t be surprise if KTM will show more interest in these and give hard time to Ducati.
