i want to put a avater in ,also can you explain how i send pics from my pc to somebody elses, where i"m typing this message, above is a row of items , one of them if i put the arrow on it it says insert image,when i click it a small box appears and says( the page at http/london bikers,com) then (enter the full absolute url to the image to insert) any ideas as i havn"t got a clue, thank you jb

To get photos into a message here I tend not to use the url option that you mentioned as there can be issues with the link and people can’t always see the images. I always upload them like this:

1. When in the main browser window where you’re writing the message there is a button in the bottom right hand corner called ‘Edit Attachments’. Click on it.

2. ‘Insert Attachments’ window opens.

3. Click on one of the ‘Browse’ buttons

4. ‘File Upload’ window opens.

5. Find the image that you want to upload and click ‘Open’ or double click on it.

6. ‘File Upload’ window closes and the path of your image appears in the first field in the ‘Insert Attachments’ window.

7. Click the ‘Upload Attachments’ Button

8. It will tell you to wait 'till it’s uploaded then you will see the name of your image appear in the ‘Current Attachments’ field.

9. Close the ‘Insert Attachments’ window

10. Now at the bottom of your main browser window where you are typing your message you will see the name of your image in the ‘Attachments’ area.

11. Now post your message and hey bingo!

You can only send images as part of Private Messages on LB. The recipient of the message/ image will have to manually save the image in order for it to remain on their computer.

To add an image to a Private Message, click on the ‘Messages’ link towards the top of the page (right hand side).

Then ‘Create new message’ (top left side of the page under ’ Private Messages ')

Then ‘Edit Attachments’ (bottom right). - number []1.[/color]

Then (in the small window that pops up) ‘Browse’ - number []2.[/color] - doing this will open another window which allows you to specify which image you want to be attached to the message. When you have selected the image(s)

Click ‘Upload attachments’ - number []3.[/color] - and they will be added to the message you are writing. If you have finished uploading attachments, you can close the window - number []4.[/color]

You should then see the images/ attachments below the row of smilies under the message text field - number []5.[/color]

All you do now, if you’re happy with everything, is click on ‘Send Private Message’ - number []6.[/color]

N.B. the process is basically the same if you want to add images or attachments to a regular forum post, the ‘Edit Attachments’ link is below the text field.
