Picking up my new bike in the morning

Which means every spare min of the week I will be out in that garage cleaning it and getting it looking good “cosmetically”.

Well she’s not new but let me introduce 11 year old called “Stelth” CBR900 Fireblade As you all know I rescued her about 3 weeks ago from sitting in a shed for 4 years and its been in Road & Track Dyno since having work done in slow time. Shes been serviced had valve clearances done, dyno settings checked (with a good read out apparently), brake pads fitted, new battery and a very thorough all over check.

Its got full carbon bodywork with carbon Ducati back end, Ohlins shock, Maxton forks, Full Harris carbon pipe, harris rearsets, AP 6-Pot caliper front brake with 320mm discs (maybe even try stoppies now unintentionally of course), marchsini rear wheel and a few other bits. It has damage to the left side of the lighting unit where it has been down before but the bike is straight and as I’ll be using it as a trackbike I don’t care too much about that. Bought R&Gs for it anyway. Unfortunatly the crash bungs already in there are deeper set so the guy had cut the fairings wide enough to fit them but its now too wide for the R&Gs so that bit will look a bit crap

Mechanically she’s sound which I’m chuffed about as it was a very quick sale. I have been onto a company who makes carbon fibre bits and ordered some gold mesh to tidy up the vents in the fairing (as its got the crap thin bendy silver stuff in), bought my tube of Autosol (for the now pitted, previously polished frame) and polish and she should be ready to get out on track on the 11th

Might even get her MOTed but don’t want the hard decision of chosing which blade I go out on

Excited lmrr

Oh and heres a crap photo I took on my phone the day I got her and the damage
