Got this brand new from J&S Accessories in Greenwich OTR.

Its got 2 forms of starting the engine:

  1. Ignition Button
  2. Kickstart

The problem is that the kick start hardly works, 1 in 20 times it will!!!. I’m always gonna use the ignition button anyway, but its just that I wanna have everything working properly as I purchased it new. I took it back to them and they couldn’t do it either!, they tried it on other Piaggios of the same CC and model and the result the same. They are a big company ranging from 12-13 stores nationwide. The kickstart seems to work when i’ve taken it for a run…

Pls help/advise

the kick start may be redundant… I dont know a lot about the Zip but Piaggio left the kick start on the Vespa LX because of the look/retro ect… It does work ( in the hands of a magician) but reportedly causes damadge. Dont know if this is applicable to the Zip though

Perfectly normal, the kick-start is only there for emergency, 1 in 20 is better than most.
