Photos of Race Bikes

Hi to all of you,

I’m a new member and from Warrington in the far North West:P

I’ve come back to bike race interests a wee bit late in life, but having been to a few meetings this season I think I could become an ‘born again’ addict.

My main interest is photographing the bikes, (and the guys on top of them, of course,) as they zoom past me. All I can say is - please slow down a bit as I miss an awful lot of you - I don’t mean that you are an awful lot - I mean that I am not quite as quick on the uptake as I used to was.

I’ve started a web site of my photos on www.bikepics.org.uk . There are about 1400 pics, there, I think, but, I haven’t counted them so there might be anything up to 1402 or so.

They are all of NW circuits but perhaps you may find them of interest to you.

Nice work - some good shots there!

One little piece of feedback - It might be easier for people to navigate about the pictures if you show a selection of thumbnails first instead of pages of larger images - It loads quicker that way too…

Well done though!

Hi and welcome aboard, good pictures.

Hi

Point taken. I will look into it, but at the moment I wouldn’t have a clue how to go about it.

Nonetheless, I will accept the challenge - it will keep the old brain cells active - or kill them for good.!

Does anyone know how I can import the noises and smells of the bikes as they go round. That’s the only thing I miss as I flick thro’ the images. The smell of Castrol R used to send me into paroxysms of pleasure in days gone by. Does anyone still use it these it these days?

Any road up - as they say round here, thanks for the suggestion.

They still use it in classic bike racing. There was a full grid at cadwell this weekend of bike dating back to 1934 all hooning around.

Nice pics…you managed to get a pic of everyone in my race except me lol. Number 43 stocksport 600 MRO
