Change on a tray annoys me as well. I might take the tray as will next time it happens 
It used to annoy me the other way around, when I worked in retail. I’d hold my hand out for the customer’s money and they’d place it down on the counter close to themselves, so I’d have to stretch across to get it. I’m a short person, so it was an effort for me and very annoying.
I like to think that I was a good retail worker though. I hate it when you go into shops and they say ‘thanks, bye’ handing you your bag right infront of your face cause they’re not even looking at you or what they’re doing, they just want to get rid of you. I always used to say hello and goodbye with eye contact and I still do as a customer.
Of course you can’t smile!! I’m gonna go in ‘stig’ style soon with my black visor down!It aint easy serving the public but a smile and a thank you costs nothing…
