Pass the pies!

I’m too lightweight! Was stopped at traffic lights with my left foot on the floor when a sidewind blew me over to the right. Before I had a chance to react, I was on the floor. Somehow, I got my leg caught between the side panel and the asphalt, so no damage done to the bike. Nor to my legs, as was wearing my Alpinestars. The car driver behind me was out of his car like a flash to come and help me up, and was suprised to see me laughing. Well, I thought it was funny… I mean, bloody hell, we’re talking about a combined weight of 200kgs (and a tiny bit more…) here and the wind still blew us over!

So, mind the wind out there peeps! Or it could be red faces all around!

sorry to hear pav, still no harm done

glad bike was’nt damaged and you of course but know what you mean, driving in the car is part of my job and I felt wind blowing me over the place

that must have been hilarious to watch!

Glad you’re ok, maybe stabilisers are needed in this wind?

Wig

Mmm, stabilisers or more chocolate & Haagen Dazs? According to some “fat people are hard to kidnap” so will eat more!

The car driver and his passenger were too taken by surprise to laugh and got concerned when they saw I was wedged in. They lifted the bike off me and couldn’t believe something that heavy gets thrown over by the wind. But, yes, I think it would have been fun to watch!

So think we had better stop at the icecream parlor on the George ride then Pavi, MMMmmmmmmmmmm yum yum.

Glad you are ok and no damage done

Glad you are ok Paivi! The wind is really strong indeed

Wind-eze usually works for me.

Even driving around in the transporter today was caught off guard. Ended up half way over the other side of the road, narrowly missing oncomig cars.

Glad to hear that all was ok girl. Getting stuck under a bike is not a nice experience but at least you can laugh about it. Nice of peeps to stop and help as well, you must have fluttered those lashes very nicely.

Ooops, bad luck Paivi, glad you’re okay.

Glad you are ok,

I very nearly had an off today, an a bridge over A4008 in watford, 'twas a bit blowy.

I nearly split my tea due to a (not entirely) unexpected burst of wind.

Am I on the same wavelength here?

That must have been so funny to watch Paivi… Glad your not hurt!!!

I’m glad that you escaped uninjured…it’s great that you have managed to keep your sense of humor about it too.

I went riding yesterday afternoon…it was crazy windy here too…40 mph gusts…I nearly got taken off a fly-over at speed when heading to a pub downtown. It definitely got my heart rate up a bit. LOL

Blimey! Obviously wasn’t just me then feeling the effects of too much wind! Quite scary having that happen on a flyover, Greg! At least mine was funny, not scary!

oh Paivi - glad you and bike are ok!

Glad you and bike are a OK

Was on the final 20 miler training run yesterday and my legs kept being blown into each other and tripping me up. Must have looked like a drunk runner

"I mean, bloody hell, we’re talking about a combined weight of 200kgs (and a tiny bit more…) "

What’s the scoot made of, steel plate and cast iron? (he asked gallantly!)

You’re not wrong there, Micky, it’s a full steel structure (one of those big Vespas).

o dear! Glad you’re okay but I have to say being fat doens’t help… I did exactly the same thing this morning… in the work car park! the receptionist came running out to check I was okay!

It does make you laugh though!

“fat people are hard to kidnap”

yeah try kidnapping me… I’d just sit on you.
