Parking near Lord's

Am volunteering at the cricket world cup and am hoping to ride to Lord’s on weekday evenings.

Will be arriving just before 1600; will I be able to park or will it be a desperate search and then attempting to cram my bike into a tiny gap?

Looking at the three closest ones : http://www.parkingforbikes.com/map/?q=nw8+8qn&go=Go

Have you asked Lords? They have loads of parking on site with plenty of space for bikes to be slotted in. I was there Thursday on business and they were very relaxed about me arriving on a bike.

We were told that there will be no parking provided for tournament volunteers due to the huge number of people / media ect. meaning there will be no space…

Not even for motorcycles? I was in Car Park 6 and there was plenty of space only bikes could use, for example, round a tree, next to the bicycle rack etc, etc. Shame they can’t accommodate volunteers. Makes you feel really valued I am sure!

There’s a solo bay on the road where the turnstyles are - not the main road - can’t think of the name. This road may be closed to through traffic but I’ve used it before when I was watching a game there. I think it’s got a rail to chain a bike to too.

I’ll keep a look out thanks,

I know

Ill have a look on the way to work mate and post back Tuesday eve

Much appreciated

The Cavendish road one is the bigger of the two fella , I would go for that one first.

If its chocca then head over to the Lodge road one , much smaller , maybe a half a dozen bikes !

Thanks a lot!
I had look at the map and it’s inside Westminster

Good job I can claim travel expenses … MP style
