Itās strange how different things work for some people and not othersā¦ I find the over-the-counter cocodamol (8mg) is effective for pain relief but I take tramadol occassionally to a) help deal with the kids when they are being too demanding and b) put me in a very good mood. But they donāt do anything for the pain. Everyone is different and has varying pain thresholds.
I have a degenerated prolapsed disk that is currently pressing on both the S1 nerve and the spinal column.
The diazepam deals with the muscles spasms that are resulting from false nerve impulses.
The tramadol mops up the pain signals caused by the false nerve signals. Otherwise I would have an acute pain in my ankle and knee and a sharp pain in my testicles.
Without them life is rather unpleasant. Iād rather not take anything and have a permanent fix.
