I just burned my fingers on my engine. :pinch:

I thought ‘ok, it’s gonna be hot, be careful’

but it was so hot I couldn’t feel it intil I realised I was melting on the metal! OUCH!!

So, kiddiewinks, wait till your engine cools down before you start tarting around with the rev counter cable mount.

:Whistling::crying:

Ouch!
Reminds me of when I first got my SR125, had taken it for a little spin and then got home and was looking at the engine. Noticed the exhaust was purple-ish where it leaves the engine, so gave it a rub with my finger to see if the purple tarnish would come off.
SIZZLE !!
The blisters on 2 of my fingers were nearly the same size as my fingers !

First aider advice: if you couldn’t feel it, means you could have damaged the nerve endings - 2nd degree burn. Don’t assume it’s just a normal burn - get down the doctors! Do NOT put any cream on it and make sure you reduce the heat by cooling it down in cold water or with a cold compress. If the skin has come off, cover with cling film and get down the doctors. Seriously… go before it gets infected and you can’t go out on the bike. :w00t:

(((hope it gets better soon)))

Thank you for the advices! 🙂

Bandit Bird, the skin didn’t come off luckily, so I just kept it on freezing water for 15 mins at a time till it stopped hurting. Thanks for your advice!

Funny though, cos now I have a finger and thumb with the tips in the shape of the teeth on the mount.

Marklid…you’re a crazy person!:w00t: 😉
