I currently use an optimate charger once a week to keep my bike charged up over winter.
However I am fed up with un bolting the seat and messing around etc. Does anyone know where I can buy the water proof lead that can stay attached to the bike all the time and make for an easy connection to the charger?
I’m trying to do this as well. The pins in my supposedly weatherproof lead have rotted away. So, I need a replacement. I was directed to the manufacturers web site (http://www.tecmate-int.com) and from there to the UK distributor:

Is the optimate made by Acumen, if so, [it’s not made by acumnet but looks like the same connector.] I went to Maplin and bought the connector with the wire already on it, and just crimped some eyelets onto it. job done, a fraction of the manufactures price.
Looks like the Acumen and the Datatool leads are indeed the same, according to this page.

I’ve got one on my KTM, but don’t have/never needed an optimate thingy so it’s just tucked out of the way under the seat.
