Opinions on exhausts

Hi all, going to change the can on my bike and want some opinions. It’s a blue Z750s (like this:.I think a scorched titanium would look good, but what do you guys think? Think I’ll go for Beowulf, despite the bad review out there in regard to the customer service. The way I see it is, theres 100 good reviews also, and you’re far more likely to be vocal if theres negatives, than positives. Also looked at Delkevic, but to be honest I know nothing about the brand. Any tips?

Sod everyone else and buy what you think looks the best.

So long as your happy thats all that matters.

But i’d go short stubby and a bit of carbon:P

Termis ?

I ordered a can from Beowulf for my kwak - it arrived on time and fitted perfectly - it also sounds mental - proper loud - love listening to the acceleration/deceleration - proper music to the ears
can be heard in at least three counties simultaneously

Yoshis on a Z750 look lovely

Hopefully without the silly looking link pipe tho!

So what’s the difference between stubbies and full length? I always imagined that stubbies would need a rejet/remapping to get the fuelling right? Or is it just a sound thing.

stubby can gives a bit more low down grunt and takes away top end, but that doesnt matter to most people.

They can sometimes be tricker to set up, i believe a longer end can gives a bit better backpressure, but this can also be achieved by keeping the baffle in.

but they sound sooooooooooooo much better!!!

lol get back your cage!!

Right, so Beowulf have 380mm and 450mm lengths in Burnt Titanium and carbon fibre. Is 380 really considered stubby? Doesn’t seem too short to me tbh. Think I’ll probably go for the 450mm titanium, have heard rumours that the carbon cans blow themselves apart after a while

Just ordered a Beowulf will let you know how it is. Customer service has been good so far, replies to emails within a couple of hours. If you haven’t ordered yet PM and ill tell you a code for a 10% discount.

Ah awesome, PMed you a little while ago.

I do hope that’s not your bike in your avatar, with it’s oh so 90’s tail light set up passing judgement on my bike :stuck_out_tongue:

Yes it is my bike and i am and will pass judgement on other peoples bikes on here if i want. Any problems with that then come and see me to sort it out!!
So to some up… i think the link pipe on your bike looks shit.
And you think the tail light on my bike looks shit.
Now if this causes you any problems then get a ******* life!

does the setting up, only concern sport type bikes???reason for asking, every exhaust I’ve had on my old hornet (now wasps) Ive cut down by hand, smaller the better, and just put them back on the bike no prob’s.now Ive bought roadrunners cbr with a beowolf can, and its crying out to be shortened, but will this cause problems???

I have always been a BlueFlame fan:) but I have just ordered a pair of round carbon PipeWerx cans to try something different;)So any busa riders out there, there will be a pair of nearly new Blueflame Dual Port cans up for grabs very soon:cool:

Pipe werx is blue flame apparently LOL

It should be the same on any bike tbh. I was talking to a guy who had stubby cans on his busa said he lost 8bhp because of them and took a long time to set them up correctly.

I noticed it on my hornet when i went from a full length micron to a stubby viper and i noticed it struggaling on top end.

I had my bike on a dyno and the fueling wasnt that bad but every bike differs. Bike had stubby can, k&n filter and opened up airbox.
