Open Roads, Time off work and the Busa !

Well, I have some time off (amazingly) and the next 10 days are going to be spent hitting the Roads of the Highlands and Islands of Scotland.
Got the boring part tomorrow, 600 miles, most of which is M/Way but that just gets me up there, so I’ll put up with that.See ya all when I come back, Love and luck,

Baz

have a good safe trip bazza, watch that speedo on them ‘open’ roads;)

makes mental note* if i get pulled again it defo wont be bazza:w00t::smiley:

Have a lovely time and don’t forget it’s a bank holiday in Scotland this weekend - so get north as soon as possible and you’ll be ahead of the traffic.

Hehe… McRoadcraft…

have a goodie

Have a good one Baz, while you are heading North I will be heading South East  whhhooops make that South West, good job i aint map reading

Let us know how you feel after 600 miles on a Busa.

Wow, have a great time and be careful x

i think i need to get a job like yours, have fun

As has aready been said watch out fr the speed cams. It’s a favourite trick of Scots police to park on bridges over the M’ways in their mobile speed cam vans!!!

Ride safe and enjoy God’s country

Enjoy the bonding on proper roads while ye can :smooooth:

Have a cracking time, mate.

The roads in the highlands are awesome - the road to Glencoe across Rannoch moor is a peach with some stunning scenery, and the road from Ft William to Skye is proper, proper fast

Watch out for Helis and spotter planes - them thar jocks are sneakier than a sneaky thing being sneaky.

A load of mates are having a run around the borders this weekend, but me and Jools will be in the car heading for Peterhead (a fair bit further north than Aberdeen)to see her mum.

If you pass a Vectra SRi estate with a black dog in the back, give us a wave - we’re starting out at 4am and will be at Westmorland farm shop (just before Shap) for breakfast

BTW… the best brekky is at the Red Rooster Roadstop, just off the M6 at Penrith.

u lucky man have a good time

och aye! what they said ^^

Hey Trojan I hope you have a fantastic time. That is my favourite part of the world and I very much recommend that you ride to Applecross via the minor road that goes up from Loch Kishorn. You won’t forget that road in a hurry, especially if the weather is good, it’s one of UK’s great biking roads. Then I recommend you continue up to Sheildaig via the coast road, through Torridon (lots of nice mountains) to the A832, turn left, and just head north up to Durness via Ullapool. Some great roads there, just be sure to keep your tank topped up as there are some gaps between petrol stations. And be prepared to remove a large number of dead midges from your visor/fairing

Have fun

Good Times!!

Have fun and stay safe

x

Cheers guys, slept in this morning and didn’t leave till gone 11. Just north of Brum just now and filling up with coffee. M/ways not too busy but very boring, thank god for earphones and music !

the motorways are boring but will get you to the decent roads much quicker, you should be on outskirts of glasgow in time for tea

Is there no train service that can take the bike up there?

Enjoy mate, and please take some photos for us!!

Whats worse than motorway’s . . . . . . . . Filtering through solid traffic on them ! M6 has been pants. Only just south of Carlisle at the moment, slowed down by traffic. More coffee and here we go again.

wish there was a service like that Jay, they have it in europe and it would be nice to avoid squaring off tyre’s on m/ways. If it was brought in, I’d use it.
