Some idiot has been riding round on his motard without an MOT for 3 months, luckily he hadnt been stopped during this time. Ran out on the 27th August, means no bike on the road till i get it done. Planned on stripping it down and giving it a good clean over xmas anyway so i’ll wait till after before i get it back on the road.
Means no biking till the new year for me

Hmm well I can’t criticise here as I’ve run bikes and car without MOT at various times. I know it’s the owner’s responsibility but surely the DVLA should send reminders out as they do with the Tax?
Suppose that’s why everyone’s MOT ends up coinciding with the Tax renewal date lol lol all mine do!

I stick a reminder in my Outlook calendar for car/bike MOT/TAX two weeks before it is due and so far have managed to avoid being caught out. Gets tricky with a bike I had stolen and so need to sort that one out with DVLA.

If it wasnt for the fact we got talking about mot’s when we got to FF for brekkie on sunday i would never have checked and id still be riding without an MOT now.
