Oops I did it again

More to come maybe in afew weeks but here’s a peak

Good luck m8!

I’ve got 95% of the bike just afew more bits to sorce

Scary little collection of bits on the floor - hope you can remember where they all have to go back to:w00t:

Best of luck, keep putting up the pics:)

I hope you’re having that frame sprayed

i think he has done this so many times that he could rebuild the bike in total darkness while updating his status on facebook and hoping on one foot

ps glad you are putting it back

Glad your giving it another go mate , keep us posted , I love re-build threads.

Cheers guys well here goes

I’ve gone for a gsxr 1000 k2 front forks
Srad wheel
Tl 6 pot calipers
Tl clip ons
Gsxr 1000/750 yoke combo

This front end is said to be “not possible” so I’m proving a point with this one all made possible by CABBIE who has helped getting this front end sorted.

He made a spacer for the wheel and designed the caliper brackets including the new speedo sensor

Once the caliper brackets are back from the Cnc guy I can build the front end in the mean time I’m stuck waiting

That bike is going to be like Trigger’s broom soon.

Best of luck with the build!

Nice work.

Oi

hahaha

can’t wait to see it finished

Just finished varnishing the caliper brackets, they look a nice oak colour now :w00t:

But I wanted oak

Why not fit the six pots on there normal mounting points and space out the disc to suit.
or are they not the K2 size calipers?

Good luck with it!

Their not k2 calipers so the mounting gap is 90mm on those ones

Afew pictures from last week of the panels, subframe, frame and engine painted

Well I got that bolt out

Nothing else I can do till I get the front end back

Looking good mate.

Mate I could have sold you a set of Kayaba forks off my K5, then you could have gone with 06-10 R6 calipers for the forks, using spacers. You’d prob have to bore out your top and bottom yoke, but then could fit a brace.

Don’t know fork diameter differences.

Tokicos (especially 6 pots) aren’t that great IME.

Speaking of my K5, want to help me strip that apart when you’re done

Nice one pal, looking at that MDF I reckon you’ve had some help from cabbie???
