today’s ride was looking to be fun … got down the road just nice open road and bike starts to die … thinking o ight must need more fuel so better switch to reserve … bike dies and then wont start looking about ive had it on reserve and not just to the basic on so i thought o i will need fuel when i need to switch to reserve. but no . no fuel guage to ehlp me ethier. so stoped for about 5 mins and then long behold a chap on his monkey bike pulled up and offered to help . so he headed off and got me some fuel …
while he was away must of been over 5 differant bikers seeing if i needed help (berring in mind its not a hugley busy road this time of day) once he got back filled her up and passed on my graditudes, talked for a bit and then on my way.
what im getting at basically as i know being a biker, other bikers look out for you when you need some assitance but you never know how good it is untill its you need the help instead of the other way around but if you wasnt a bike owner you could be straded out on the streets for 2-3 hours waiting for some help cos no othe rcar will stop. but instead 30 minutes and im on my way
It doesn’t matter if it’s a crotch-rocket or a monkey-bike, it’s all two wheels, and “Only a biker knows why a dog puts its head out of the car window”. A cross-section of society with just one common joy - and we all recognise it in others.
Glad to hear you had such a heart-warming experience.
i can remember when i ran out of fuel on my varadero and a guy helped push the bike of the road and rode me to a petrol station on his bike, it does go to show that we do look out for each other.
thats cool nice to hear it still happens, even when i am driving if i ever see a bike at the side of the road or motorway i always stop if i can, helped a few out with petrol, flat battery, i just think i hope someone stops for me if i need it one day.
