It does get tiresome though

E for endorphins then yes I do.

The LB forum is the ‘diamond’ in the rough.

+1  Although some of us are just rough! ;):stuck_out_tongue:

Sid, who are you referring to as rough? So far every LBer I have met was a “diamond”…:w00t::smiley:

Heh thanks for the replies. Just to be clear, it’s not my only source of girly action  - rather there’s no return on the money this avenue costs.

I am glad it has worked out for people though  Did you save the original messages / profiles from before you were an item? Wouldn’t it be very interesting to look back at them now you’re together.

Your right - they’re a luvly bunch.

p.s. I’m sure you will meet Mrs KTMmartin very soon KTMmartin! ;)

I found these you might want to use, good luck:

Before long I’ll have discarded you on the pavement of life, but until then you’re the perfect complement to a perfect evening. Man, 32, rarely produces winning metaphors.’

‘My ideal woman is a man. Sorry, mother.’

‘Your buying me dinner doesn’t mean I’ll have sex with you. I probably will have sex with you, though. Honesty not an issue with opportunistic male, 38.’

‘Are you Kate Bush? Write to obsessive man (36). Note, people who aren’t Kate Bush need not respond.’

‘Ploughing the loneliest furrow. Nineteen personal ads and counting. Only one reply. It was my mother telling me not to forget the bread on my way home from B&Q.’

‘Bald, short, fat and ugly male, 53, seeks short-sighted woman with tremendous sexual appetite.’

‘Romance is dead. So is my mother. Man, 42, inherited wealth.’

God appeared to me in a dream last night and spoke your name in my ear. He gave me the winning lottery numbers, too, though, so you can understand where my priorities lay when I raced to grab a notebook and pen. Normally on the first few dates I borrow mannerisms from the more interesting people I know and very often steal phrases and anecdotes from them along with concepts and ideas from obscure yet wittily-written books. That’s because I like you and feel ready to give you honesty. Belligerent old **** (M, 53). Box no. 6378.

I was on Match.com for a while (think I still am) and it gave me what I wanted at the time - I was getting near 50, was just divorced and meeting people outside of work wasn’t easy.

You need to know your way around - I reckon 75% of the women are completely unrealistic (eg 45-yr-old fat woman looking for rich, tall, toned, handsome man under 45 or seeking a combination of their best female friend and Claude Van Damme), 10% are bunny-boilers, 5% are weird (one wouldn’t let me meet her again yet rang up so she could masturbate whilst I talked dirty to her) and 10% are genuine people.

Once you know how the game is played, finding the 10% is quite easy.

I went out with one woman for 3 months but didn’t want to cancel my Match membership, so I toned it down a little. Then I made one change that reduced my views from an average of 7-8 a day to less than one a day; what do you think that was?..

All in all, they can work, but you need to present yourself the right way.

I met my ex through match.com - we were together three years and then he moved to the states with work. Still in touch
