Nice on board pic. Shame about the Tripple - take it the owner stacked it?
Very nice! That’s a great pic to keep mate! well done!
you know? Looks like you are right there chuffster, did that guy actually made that corner?
Was really strange actually… Just as we exit a village we start to pick the speed up, and there’s this left hander, down hill with a zebra crossing on it. The Tuono goes through no problem, them the Triple lowsides as the back just flies out. The bike spins round and the swing arm hits the kerb… And this was the result:
Taran, the rider just got up and walked away, even after he slid off and knocked a wall down ! Well, he’s a big bloke ;o)
He made that corner no problem, it was about 50 miles before the accident happened. The paint on the white bits of the crossing was like that stuff they put on car parks (you know, where your tyres squeal all the time). It was just no grip… the rest of us just happed to go through on the black bits…
Jelster that was more predictable than brazil win the last world football champ. That bodyposition told us everything mate! I have a friend that used to fall a lot becouse he was always riding well above his limits… People told him but he never accepted it… so hept falling… Put that mate of your on an advanced riding course!
Hi Jelster,
I don’t know where “Col du Galbier” is. Switerland perhaps?
So how did the Busa do through the twisties? Was he hanging back to film or because he couldn’t keep up?
I’ve noticed the white lines in France are lethal! They mix in glass to give the white a reflective property. It’s like ice in the wet!!!
Glad your triple mate’s OK. Must have been a pain to get the bike fixed or recovered.
Ow, nasty stuff. What did Triumph have to say about that?
