Back in the 90’s I had a GSXR1100 which was one of the best bikes I’ve ever owned. Proper hoolligan it was and to this day I’ve never owned a bike that screamed like that one did, mainly thanks to its Vance and Hines 4-1 Anyhoo, I’ve applied for a council garage. God knows when I will get offered one but when I do I want to get an old GSXR project on the go. I figure it’s probably cheaper to buy a dog and work on that instead of starting with a frame and engine. Any advice would be welcomed.
www.oldskoolsuzuki.info is all you really need .
Thanks for that! I remember that site, it’s been around for a long time I think.

Same model as my old one. Not worth watching all the way through but at 1:53 sonic perfection is achieved
Very nice
I totally cream myself every time i see one of these
Defo gonna be my next bike… Although the 750 seems a bit more tempting than the 1100…?
Still a good looking bike. Real presence.
prefered the 750, but still awesome awesome bikes, along with the FZR1000 EXUP’s and the early blades…they helped shape the future of sportsbikes.
awesome.
Eventually managed to find a picture of my mate’s GSXR1100. Bored out to 1280cc, Cosworth pistons, gas flowed head, hot cams etc. 162bhp at the back wheel, not bad for 1998. Did sub 10’s at Santa Pod and road legal. Crazy bike.
I got this one

One of my many bikes was a slabsider 750 with an 1100 motor fitted, an original 7\11
Terry, when do you expect to have it finished?
My first ‘big’ bike was a GSXR750 slabside, red black and silver. I loved the fact that it had a two-stroke type powerband, power came in with a proper kick at 7k.
Hahahahahahahahaha. Yeah Terry!! When’s this gonna be finished!!!:D:D:D
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
smiled.
