I just bought an Ogio Tankbag and I have what could be a strange/stupid question…
On the bottom of the bag where the magnets are, there are a set of quick release buckles and straps. What are these for?
You can attach tankbag to the tank . Those quick release buckles and straps are made for it.
But isn’t that what the magnets are for??? Or do you mean permanently???
Is there anyway to ‘tuck’ them away when i’m not using them?? I figure they’d just flap about in the wind when riding if they are loose
Yeah, permanently. It’s a safety feature. I dunno how fast you riding but it’s good to have additional mounting points isn’t?
some bikes like the CBR600 RR has a plastic cover over the tank therefore the magnets will not work but you can strap it instead multi feature bag

You dont attach it using them as has been said they are a added safe feature, you stick tank bag on tank with magnets then run the loop around the heatstock to make double sure it dont fall off at high speed.
