well im off to look at my best choice of R6 (from the list I gathered) tomorrow. its from a dealer with 750 miles on the clock, '08 plate, 1 owner from new (purchased new from the same dealer im going to). had its first service.
what should i be on the look out for?
this is my first big bike purchase so not sure with what to keep an eye out for.

ummm check the forks arent leaking or in a **** state - mind you with that small amount of miles on it i doubt there would be much wrong with it - look for any signs of crash damage, leaks, ummm i cant think now!! shizzia

Check the condition of the radiator, seems a bit vulnerable, as i holed mine after only 1200 miles. :angry:

Make sure it’s identity is legit…Look at frame and engine numbers carefully, make sure they match paperwork, and compare how they look to the numbers on another R6.

Essential Rubber have one for sale. It had about 2700mile on it. They want £6200 I fink. Its white and red…

Ditto. I’m autocrimes trained now so its easier to see obvious errors, but you’re looking to make sure the font is similar to all others, is equal in size, gaps between letters and numbers are the same, depth of each digit is equal and the security marks at either end are a perfect match to each other with the same qualities as the other digits. The metal that the stamped number is on should match the rest of the frame and not look altered. Engine numbers are dot matrix stamped and should possess the same qualities as the stamped VIN with no grind marks.

well went off to go and see and ended up buying it!! bloody love it! £5950, 736miles on the clock…in like new condition! and it goes like stink!

Make sure the garage supplies you with a current HPI check m8. You don’t want a finance company chasing after you.
