Nurbergring bike trip 28.08.09 till 01.09.09

Hey guys,

I am new to London Bikers and am living in central London atm, I have come across from Australia with 8 years riding experience and been lucky enough to spend my free time riding around the Philip Island motoGP track, and enjoying the twisties of the Yarra Vally that include the Black Spur!, my time in this country is not going to be long so I need to spend my time wisely so!
I am searching to put together a crew to do a trip to the legendary Nurbergring, was thinking of the long weekend at the end of august and maybe a day ether side, so for all you bike nuts out there that have always wanted to do the ring but have never got around to it! Now is your chance,
Now just to let you know im a sensible rider on the road as I need to keep my licence, but I have to do at least 10min around the ring (cant let a chick in a van beat me!) and I also have a autobahn run planed (start @ Karlsruhe Sud and down the A5 to Achern)
So the more the merrier, everyone is invited and any level of skill as I ALWAYS ride at my own pace, young and old don’t be shy, so book your holidays and get on board.

Bryden.

Hay Bryden, Welcome to London Bikers.

I would love to join you but as I have just come back from the ring I dont think I could justify another trip to her in doors. Were thinking about heading back in the first week of September so if your keen to go Ill drop you an e-mail closer to the time. A friend of ours has a B+B in Adenau which is next to the circuit and we know all the local roads for the sensible rides LOL.

Catch ya later and welcome once again.

Hey Burger,

As that is only the next week along i can change my plan’s and head over with you boys if that ok?

I would much prefer to do the ring with some one who has been there before, so your plan sounds spot on, how many of you normaly go?

Bryden.

I have just come back from a 5 day trip – London to Germany (including the Ring!) with Wheeltrax tours. (check it out: www.wheeltrax.com) It was absolutely amazing. Kevin who runs wheeltrax (English bloke but has been living in Germany for the last 9 years) invests a lot of time and effort to make sure the trip goes well.

Every day Kevin took us on the best roads I have ever been on. They were incredibly varied, technically challenging and the most fun I have ever had on a bike! On the last day of tour we did the Ring – which was mind blowing. But if I am honest the route Kevin took us on to get to the Ring and back was equally enjoyable as the Ring!

I did a 5 day trip which was very competitively priced. I would strongly recommend if anyone is going to Germany or looking to do a tour in Europe to check out Wheeltrax. I plan to do a more detailed report in the ‘Ride Reports’ section – when I get round to it!

If the mrs lets me I will be going back next year for a longer trip…
