So they are going to spend loads of our taxpayers money hunting for a vigilante, shame they cant put the money that they will use into an officer on a motorbike who could spot the fools on the mobiles. e would soon have caught enough to pay his wages I would have thought.

I agree with Chuffster, they’ve got it the wrong way round!
I’ve seen the police on bikes catching drivers on mobiles, so they are out there doing their job, but there are simply not enough of them. I don’t agree with the vigilante side of things though, it can all to easily go pear shaped and these drivers may now view motorcyclists as targets due to percieved aggravation.
why do you guys assume its a motorcyclist - could be a cyclist!!!

It could, in fact, be another car driver! 
Commuting into London everyday I must pass around 10-15 rage cage users on their mobiles.
The best one I came accross was sitting in traffic at a set of lights in his convertable. (top down)
The bike in front of me leans in and snatches the mobile off the driver and launches it into the bushes at the side of the road the lights turn green and off he goes… The driver didnt know what to do go after the bike or retrieve his phone.
Funniest thing i’d seen in ages.
