It not my morning. Coming in to work this morning on the M4 my visor ‘popped off’ !! (Just one side anyway.) I flipped it up as I slowed down at the end of the bus lane and maybe pushed it a bit hard - I had just changed it over earlier this week, maybe not fitted it prioperly. Oh well no big drama, pulled over on the hard shoulder just before the elevated sect. and fixed it.
Jumped onto my bike, ready to go, picked out my gap to re-join the m/way and blatted off. It was only till I noticed my speedo hit 50mph that I realised in the blink of an eye I had just passed that bloody last speed camera !!! I have passed that blinking thing for years and can slow for it in my sleep but making that quick stop just this morning just threw me. I suppose now the dreaded waiting game begins…
On a lighter note, it is still really cool how other bikers respond to a ‘broken down’ fellow biker with an ‘are you ok, or do you need help nod ?’ Just wanted to thank the dude on the red VFR in a red jacket/leathers for the ‘is everything cool’ thumbs up he gave me this morning. Wonder if he’s an LB ?
That was unfortunate. It was the brake in your routine that threw you.
With respect to the camera if it flashed you would have probably noticed. The flash is very bright. I know this because I one facing me on the way into work most days and the flash is not something you’d miss.
The lid is an AGV Airtech. Popped off on MY left side. But I think it was the fitting that was the prob. One of the tiny ‘lugs’ is a bit worn. I’m going to swap the visor for another when I get home & keep this one for an emergency spare.
Not related to your lid:cool:I’ve come across several (including myself) Arai users who have had their left pod come off while riding. It seems quite a coincidence;)Anyway, hope you managed to dodge the camera mate;)
