I was going to do this, this year, but the lure of the TT the next month was too much… I did my first TT last year and loved it… it was brilliant…so I’ll be going back there this year, but the NW200 does look immense!!!
my aunty lives within sight of the start grids, but at the tender age of 90 something, i don’t think she is to bothered by the noise these days. Fantastic biking roads!
Yeah her garden could accommodate more than a few tents, but wo-betide you if she was to trip up on the guy line of your tent, we didn’t call her scary mary for nothing as kids, a true irish matriarch. The service is rubbish there, it takes her 2 hours to make a cup of tea these days
I hope to do the TT one day too but would prefer to start with the manx, maybe next year… currently have a ZX10 I have been doing Superstock with but I don’t think it’s wise to go there on a thousand first time, so it’s going to take some planning to get a 600 sorted and cash is tricky as it is for everyone.
Do you know how the entries etc usually work and who I would need to contact, as I was wondering whether I could enter the junior as well as the newcomers. I’m hoping to do a bit of road racing beforehand, maybe Oliver’s Mount so I won’t be a complete road racing virgin!
Unfortunately Oli you have misunderstood Kml’s post. He went to watch the TT not take part in it.
Your best bet would be to look up realroadracers on the net there should be plenty of info there for you. The Manx is a very popular event and applications are snapped up reasonably quickly so you will need to act fast to get a spot for this year.
Good luck and keep us informed how you get on.
