I nearly ended up in Wales this weekend. Went west and kept going and going. Got saturated which is the only thing that made me turn back.

I have ordered Rukka gear now though as i always get wet in Wales.

Do you know anywhere you can get a Hollands (or other brand for that matter) meat and potato pie down here?

Everytime I’m in a chippy and they have “pie and chips” on the menu - I ask what flavour they have … and am always disappointed at the lack of m&p

Asda used to do them - but i havent got one near me anymore.

I import them from the north every time i go up there or my sister comes down.

They don’t die proper pies down here.

I’ll let you know if/when I hear back. My mum spoke to the owner of the local bakery back home and got him to sell some uncooked pies a few years ago (which he wasn’t keen on in case I got food poisoning from not cooking them properly lol) so I’ve got a source sorted up north too. About a week after she visited last, I didn’t shut the freezer door properly, and ruined everything. SJ was pssed I’d been such an idiot and left the door open … I was pssed my pies had to go in the bin :hehe: Anyway … this thread can go back to being about Wales now rather than pie

You are right no pie beats the Hollands meat and potato but alas after a few years of trying for these and chips and gravy nowhere seems to do them some chippys seems to put gravy on the menu and then dont have it which is even worse
