After more than 4 months waiting for the bl**dy council to sort out the water pressure in our new home yesterday some workmen turned up with kanga drill’s and made a rather large hole in the concrete down the side of the house they then bust the water pipe and flooded the alleyway! they bodged it overnight and they’ve come back this morning and started again only now their telling me they have to take it all the way back to the road! ONE BIG PROBLEM…it’s gonna take several days to get it all fixed and recemented… Guess where my bike is and me pocket rocket too…yep in the back garden and i cannot get either of them out as the alleyway is the only way in or out!!!
Luckily i have luvverly neighbours! cake not needed just a couple of jars of handmade blackberry jam freshly made last night The side of my house is completely dug up now…all 18 foot of path smashed up!
just hope they renew all what they smashed up

Ha i just laughed my head off the contractors returned this morning only this time instead of 2 workmen there were 6! and they cut straight thru the streets water pipes and it lifted one of the workmen clean of his feet! ive never seen so many workmen panic to stop the flow of water! anyway they reckon i should have new water pipes installed by teatime… they are all soaked so working in wet clothing is payback for all the inconveiniance they’ve caused me HA ha ha
yesterday it looked good water on and no leaks all alleyway filled back in,they said friday we’ll recement your path!
thought it was to good to be true…They arrive this morning and guess what…the pipes p*****g out water underground so they’ve had to dig the whole lot up again!! What a load of useless TW*TS…i am NOT a happy bunny!!
Wasp, I hope they are going to offer you something for your trouble ? I used to work for a construction company which did a lot of street works for utility companies and we used to end up paying quite tidy sums to upset residents, shouldn’t be too difficult for you to get enough for a set of tyres or so from them, you seem to have suffered more than is reasonable.
