Wow, only 35 hours! Id have expected way more than that! It took us 6 hours to get from St Augustine, FL to Myrtle Beach, SC but then we were cruising along, singing to 80’s US pop music, as you do 
Pointless. Travel across a whole huge country without ever getting off to look around and talk to the locals. Why???
That is just mental!!
Imagine riding al the way across europe, it would drive me mad! Not being able to get off to wander and take photos!
Perhaps you’re being a bit harsh. Try looking at it this way:
- why do people run marathons? or see how long they can stay awake? or see how far they can jump a bike? in fact, why is there a guinness book of records?
- now how many people do you know that have ridden a bike for more than 3 hours without putting their feet down at least once for traffic, to stop for fuel, to stretch…?
Hopefully that puts the 35 hours in perspective.
