After owning many a Nokia phone over the years, many as solid as a tank, it seems their quality has really gone to hell now… Recently, I was forced to buy a new mobile after my old one mysteriously disappeared :w00t: and I managed to break it after less than a month!
Now, you ask, what kind of savage abuse did I unleash on my poor little phone?
I PUT IT IN MY POCKET!
When I took it out, the screen was broken. The back says “Made in Hungary”. Go figure!
These things don’t have any structural rigidity to them whatsoever, being thin and made from p*ss poor materials. Nokia won’t get a penny out of me ever again!
I’m getting myself one of these Sonim phones now, they are a bit like a brick encased in rubber, if I manage to break it I should get an award.
Looks about the same as my work phone… minus the broken screen. All the ring tones have over time become corrupted so the only one ive got at the moment is the rooster. I do get some strange looks when I get the cockadoodledoooo go off and I reach into my pocket… and yeah ive had about every **** comment there could be.
Still refuse to get a blackberry, so that probably why im being punished with Nokia
I can sell you a brand new E71 unlocked, unbranded and legit phone…
I have been using my N96 so i will not be needing it… I am a Nokia employee by the way…
I am also dissapointed. Never had anything else than Nokias over the years, starting with the heavy duty 5110 then 3310, not leaving the 3510 out, then upgraded to a 6170, then along came the luvly 6230s, used them for years(still using it, works well), then I decided to buy the funky looking 5610xpress music. 3months later I found out wot a piece of s**t I had bought. Sent it off to have it repaired, waited just over 2months til I got it back and it showed the same fault. So I went back to my gud old 6230i and the funky looking 5610 is laying at the bottom of one of my drawers…
Sounds like you were unlucky. Am on my 6th Nokia and very happy with all of them except an early-batch 5500 which i had to exchange due to various issues, customer service was fine, Vodafone swapped it for a perfect one no probs at all.
I dropped a 5410 down the loo once it was in there for 20 mins before I fished it out. Dried it off and it still works fine 3 years later. My sister owns it now!
Wouldn’t dream of paying to use nokia maps  had a free licence for a year from Vodafone when I first got the phone, and i got dizzy with all the circles it sent me riding around in
got a brand new N95…damn thing doesnt work so gotta take it to T-mobile shop so they can send it away to be looked at, never even had sim card in the thing !!!
