On the transport for london website it says “ALL LONDON BUSES HAVE BEEN WITHDRAWN FROM SERVICE DUE TO ADVERSE WEATHER AND DANGEROUS ROAD CONDITIONS” good luck people
Well i can`t get to work now.
I had to walk. No big deal. Though I saw some very hopeful people queueing for taxi’s.
Thing is, there’s loads of cars on the roads. I guess most of the bus drivers in London have never seen snow and so are cacking it 
I’m glad there aren’t buses today. The roads really would be chaos with them broke down and sliding into everything. Good call from TFL in my opinion.
Yes, I was just saying to someone, it’s quite nice at the moment, it’s like old-times when there were few cars. Say 100 years ago! A much slower pace of life.

I’m prepared to be wrong but I thinks that’s the year Ford brought out the first Model T. An absolute cack car.
I think more like “35 years ago” when I moved to my house. No traffic to speak of before 7:00 am, busses only when the drivers could be ars"d and I could drive to London and find an all day parking space I could afford.
And guess what, I prefer 2009 with motorcycles and cars that start on the button, heaters that work, radios that don’ take ten minutes to warm up.
But it is nice having a quiet day today.
Deffo a good call for a change from TFL, in this day and age i can just imagine all those claims for ‘whiplash’ if a bus did happen to ‘bump’ something!!
What time did the buses stop tho! If they brought ppl to work and no way to get home. “Other countries are laughing at London for a few inches of snow” it said on the wireless.

of course, other countries that are used to having snow every year have snowploughs ready, London doesn’t need snowploughs just to be used once in a decade… that is why it looks like this…

Re stranding passengers, my understanding is that just before midnight there were so many buses radioing in with difficulties due to the roads the night bus service was cancelled and the bus companies spent the night recovering the stranded drivers.
i`m absolutly gutted!!! this happened on my day off!!!
hopefully itl be the same tomorrow and no buses will leave their garages. therel be alot of drivers in the canteen

That’s what happened. Service was withdrawn at about midnight(ish). I saw one sideways across the Elephant & Castle roundabout exit to the Walworth Rd.
It was absolute chaos, we were out in it taking calls and it was not nice.
Saw a bendy bus on the news bent almost double and stranded. They’re bad news at the best of times so thank f*ck they did stop 'em. Pity it ain’t permanently! :hehe:
I thought they had been withdrawn have seen one on the roads for months.
They were withdrawn from some routes and apparently the ones still running are not being replaced at the end of their life. Result.
