If it’s any help, I did London>>Lands End with an overnight stay on a 125 (which was probably slower than yours), and London to Hereford/Wales in a day plenty of times.
In those days, I’d plan on averaging 40mph over the course of a full day’s riding (i.e. including stops for lunch, fuel, fags & coffee, de-numbing the bum, etc). HTH
In the good old days we thought nothing of going to Lands End, John OGroats, Morecambe, Grt Yarmouth, Weton Super Mare, Margate, Brighton, IOW, that’s just a few of the places… you name it we did it all on scooters, yeah sometimes it ment sitting by the side of the road fixing the scooter but it was all good fun.
The scooters today are much more reliable, anythings possible… just go and enjoy yourself, when you’ve had enough stop and kip down for the night.
