I recorded the Patriots v Jags from last night and am sat watching them play now. I was wondering if anyone else is following the action this year. There are some really good match ups this weekend, the Packers played amazing earlier to ditch the Seahawks and I’m also really looking forward to the Chargers playing the Colts tonight, could be another great game.

Seattle was such a disappointment, but when we couldn’t punch it in after the weird kickoff I knew it wasn’t to be

Yeah I went to Wembley with another Skins fan and a couple more friends. We saw loads of Skins fans infact and were considering trying to get a ‘Hail to the Redskins’ going :w00t:

I did watch my first full game in November. The kick off was 20:30 and it finally finished at 00:45! For sixty minutes of play the just stop the clock and time out for everything.
Boring, absolutely boring. Just get on and play the bl@@dy game.
its a girlies game, all that armour, cant take even a few little knocks…big girls blouses…bet they are all wearing frilly knickers under that armour…
mind you I certainly would not say that to their faces and not within striking distance…

Generally, when you know what’s going on you don’t mind the stop start. Besides, most sports stop and start more than you realise. Football is a bit better these days with more balls around the pitch so things can be kept moving. It used to be of the 90 minutes, the ball was only actually in play for 60 of them…
Also, I get that a lot about padding (I’ve been playing for 20 years now) and I always offer to put my helmet on and run into someone at full speed, putting my head into their ribs. For some reason they always decline?
Anyway, I see most bikers wearing more protection then I wear playing, does that mean you don’t mind riding into an oncoming bus? Of course not, the impact of collision is still gonna hurt!
Suppose it is like any sport, if you havent played it or dont understand the rules it wont be intereseting to you. It is also something that doesnt make its way onto TV very often so doesnt give people a chance to see it.
I dont mind watching it, but as others have said it does take a bit long.

got all my teeth and I played…nothing serious just club rugby…to be fair its a very interesting game like all games. I love all sports to be fair just prefer playing to watching…cant sit still long enough to watch…unless I fall asleep, then why bother you might ask…? so I dont

Another big skins fan here . Gutted that Joe Gibbs has retired , should rename Fed EX Field after him , the man is a legend . Have treated my neighbors to the odd 'Hail to the Redskins ’ on occasions :w00t: . Most recently after we defeated the Cowboys (always a pleasure ) to reach the playoffs . Saw the Pats and the Jags earlier on , can anybody stop Tom Brady and the Pats ? and looking foward to tonight s games . As a skins fan , haven’t got a clue about the Giants / Cowboys game , don’t like either of them .
I think the Cowboys are the biggest rivals the Skins have though, so I guess I’m pulling for the Giants. Either way, lets now how the Packers are the team representing the NFC in the Superbowl.
naaa…dont play anymore…would love to tho…;)did play for the plymouth admarals years ago…but only for half a season due to unexpected events…plus…i didnt feel the passion i got when i used to play for your highschool…
im more of a defensive player …always played cornerback…but i remember playing a year in highschool as a saftey tho…hated it the whole year…that was my freshman year:D

Smiled, I had kinda the reverse. I’m a Free Safety (or maybe Quarterback) at heart. I played for England at FS, but then at one point they tried to play me at Corner… at like 17 stone! Just wasn’t gonna happen :crazy: Mind you, these days its D End I’m enjoying
