Newbie saying hi

Hello everyoneBeen reading some of the posts on LB for a while now, so thought I’d sign up and say hi and introduce myself,

Real name is Dave and I have only been riding for about 18 months, I passed the CTB and got myself a Honda CG
and what a nightmare I had with it, kept stalling, felt like it would never stop and didn’t enjoy the experience at all :crying: I have a mate who has been riding for years and kept saying stick with it, but no I really didn’t fill safe at all and after getting hit up the rear at a set of lights (I stalled… again) I finally gave up.

BUT it just would not leave me, the bug was still there, for years I had wanted to ride but like so many things in life just didn’t get round to it and so 3 months later I decided to trade the Honda for a scooter. It was fun got around, went for rides out but something was missing, what was it oh ya, GEARS, the scooter was fun but I really wanted to be riding a geared bike and so last Aug 09, gots me a nice new Honda CBF 125. Now I know its not the fastest milk kart in the west but I bloody love it :w00t:. Took 2-3 days to get used to it but no real problems.

And so ends the introduction (at last I hear you all cry). Did have my first off a week before Xmas, the day south London got hit with snow, was on my way home when the bike went down, it went one way and I went the other no one else involved and both bike and rider OK. I ride to work every day about 20 miles round going from Wallington Surrey to Bromley Kent

Well thats it, thanks for reading my very long post  and hope to post here oftenurbanrider
