It might happen again…
The very easiest thing is for everyone to add a photo of themselves to their own profile…
Profile photos have to be a max of 80*80 pixels though, so need to be re-sized with some utility, I recommend Irfanview http://www.irfanview.com/ as it’s the Right Price and does the job so well.
Perhaps the Admins might consider raising this to at least the size of the avatars… (150*150px)
