Newbie flop - Almost did this today!!

so im one of this new generation of bikers being examined under the whole 2 part test business, so should be all competent with this slow speed business…

anyway, was with a cuppla my mates…first time they see me ride…was an awkward pull away cos there was a van quite close in front of me and had to turn like this video shows whilst moving off…

dont think i let bike warm up enough…didn’t quite stall, but was LITERALLY so close to the edge, i thought that was it, but i twisted the throttle to save myself in the nick of time and managed to get out of it…was quite embarassing really. thats must been a bit gutting…

I bet you were replaying that scene in your head over and over for ages after!
I can imagine people thinking - “whys that dork on a motorbike if he can’t even navigate around a car park”…little do non-bikers realise that car parks are darned challenging!!, lol!..

slow speed riding is a biatch!..gonna take some getting used to for me I think!..I’m gona make a habit now of adjusting they way my bikes pointing when I set off to make life as easy as I can for myself, until I become more experienced and start to master the clutch naturally!!

I hate leaving BM for that exact reason!

The surface on the corner is dodgy, there are loads of people drinking everywhere, and if you bin it, you do it in front of 30 of your closest bike-riding mates. And hundreds of pint-swilling office workers.

No pressure or anything!
