I think the Fazer looks ok - it looks really good - especially compared to earlier half-faired Fazers and bandits.
Why have they released an 800? Isn’t a 600 and a 1000 enough? :blink:

Hmm - 800 is so close to 1000 - I reckon they should have done a 750 instead of an 800 - 750 is a more classic displacement and rings more historical bells with most bikers.

looks decent naked, faired is still a bit dubious and out of proportion.

I love my FZS600 but would at some point like to change it. There a million and one bikes out there that I like the look of (mmmm Triumphs), but pratically speaking a new Fazer would fit the best in with my life. Never liked the look of the FZ6 and nary heard a good word about them. They are now gone. So where does that leave me? Divvy? Too budget commuter. FZ1? Amazing looking, heard great things about them but I have barely had my licence a year and I am not going anywhere near a thou yet. So I want something with the practicallity of my FZS, something a bit classy and not too budget looking or feeling and something which isn’t going to a) scare the bejesus out of me and b) not have the insurers going “here, Dave, you got to listen to this, the kid wants the insure a FZ1”
So I personally am quite interested in the Fazer 8. If it turns out to be any good I’ll consider getting one 2nd hand in a few years.
Now make the R8 already
