new wheels

as some of you know i got in a bit of bother with the fuzzy lieing ****s well anyway got to start all my licence again so rideing my dads pushbike and loveing it going to get my own decent one so anyone selling a decent mountain bike with a large frame hit me up.

today since 6:50 am i have done almost 15 miles on it in just 40 seconds under 2 hours of rideing not all in one go mind but still im so happy with what i have done only ridden the bike to work and back twise 2 miles there and 2 miles back not ridden a pushbike for years before that

i decided to ride to the teahut what ride it was really enjoyed it and i didn’t have a heart attack

then home from the hut

I have this for sale. Around 5 years old and just over 1000 miles on it. Was serviced and then stored for 3 years with a good oiling halfway through that time. Has spent 1 night outside otherwise always in my room.

£800 new. £200 and its yours. The only reason I don’t need it is I’m too lazy

The review is aimed at off road track riding so just keep that in mind.
It has hydraulic disc brakes and offroad tyres so for the rolling road resistance, you’d be better off fitting those skinny road based tyres.

If I had the money I would buy it!

Good lad Ross. Keep it up man! Wish I was as motivated as you to get up off my arse and do a bit of exercise…

What happened with your licence anyway buddy? You get a ban or something? :frowning:

Revoked

is that a posh way of saying busted? lol

i was very impressed with your fitness Ross

Jaime let me think about and see if I can afford it this month.

Not posh lol it was revokes no ban they take my licence I have to reapply they send me a provisional I then ha e to do cbt and all my test parts again

What programme are you using there Ross?

Strava is a good one, it records your time on segments of road and then lets you know how you compare to other people and when you ride the same segment again it lets you know how you compare against your previous times. It’s a good way of seeing your fitness improving over time or just gloating to your slower mates about how crap they are

If you’re riding on the road all/most of the time slick/semi-slick tyres will make it easier (and therefore faster) - a hybrid bike with narrow tyres will make it faster still and a road bike will make you much faster (as I discovered last month when I bought my first road bike after 20 odd years of mountain biking). Big wide, knobbly mountain bike tyres are great in mud but really slow you down and tire you out on the road.

Riding a pushbike is great, not least of all because when you get the motor back it’ll feel rocket ship fast

im using run keeper i really want a gt avalanche then i was going to fit some slicker tyres as i think thats why i like my dads bike so much lol
