New trousers and boots

like all Gore-Tex/ Sheltex membranes, they need washing properly and re-proofing with nikwax gear ; )

Road dirt and grime blocks the membranes pores, thus stopping it working properly

Textiles are practical for everyday use, and on a 125 at 125 speeds offer good protection, when i ride to work and back i wear textiles, if i’m in town i wear red routes ( in the dry) and for motorways, lanes, or hooning i wear leathers, or leather bottoms (love my sliders  ) and a textile jacket.

go for Gore-Tex if you can, specially boots - i see you got the Cobra GTX ? GOOD CHOICE!

some GTX textile bottoms are coming up at 103.99 at HG till tuesday, get in quick!

remeber tho, look after your kit, regular washing helps massively in keeping it working, dont have to go mad with it, one wash in summer two in winter.

Done that… did it twice last winter with the last one being in April and then once 1-2 months ago but have only used it 3 times since…

Using both spray and liquid waterproofing… (once spray, twice liquid not simultaneous! :stuck_out_tongue: )

Got the Tricky IV and got them tested on Tim’s rideout the other day. Worked like a charm. Though my bum was still getting a bit damp… Not as bad compared to how much it rained though but still. The legs etc were completely dry. Very impressed with the trousers

The Cobras softened and I can feel the gears now. AWESOME! Thanks for the advice guys!
