Thought I’d say hi, since I’m new. I ride a Harley Sportster, I live in SW London and since my mates are pussies it’d be cool to meet some young bikers like myself in the area.
I get the old, bearded Harley thing, I do. But I’m out to modernise the Harley Culture. Not just Harley though, I don’t think bikers should discriminate, like in Quadrophenia. As a multicultural city we can learn a lot from one another, Fazers and Fat Boys, 996’s and 883’s, Accountants and Artists, Marketing execs and Musicians…
I haven’t found what I’m looking for online; a bunch of young, cool, party animal riders to ride with… So here is the first post of my personal mission to create something new and exciting.
If you want to hear more about my Manifesto get in touch. Bring on The Noise.
Maybe you should get on down to a ‘BMM’ (Borough Market meet) at London Bridge every Wednesday or, the Ace on the first Monday of the month for the London Bikers newbie meet or, check out the ‘Ride outs, Meets and Events’ section on here, there’s generally a couple ride outs going on each Sunday although the Harley limits you a little.
I used to live in Kingston myself, moved to fulham now. Property ladder and all that shit. I’ll have to come to one of these Wednesday things, what time does everyone meet? Is the Ace Cafe much fun on the Monday?
Thanks Shiver, I thought as much, just wondered why Art said my bike would hold me back… So i just assumed it’s less of a chilled cruise and more of an adrenaline fueled adventure!
As I found out a large majority ride sportsbikes. Don’t worry though man everyone is welcome - as long as you got two wheels, yer a nice and friendly - you’ll get by fine.
As far as rideouts are concerned, there are some which are nice cruises or “pootles” as Tim likes to call them, and some which are quite fast. It will be stated on the rideout thread…
I’m from SE London and am rapidly approaching Middle Age, but welcome anyway - there are plenty of young, cool and edgy folks on here as well as us middle aged and elderly folks :D:D
