New level of Cage rage

So tonight on the way home half way up Tottenham Ct Rd I go round the car in front and stop at the lights in front of him , I see out of the corner of my eye the bonnet creeping up beside me so I move forward a bit and so does he so I turn araound and ask whats wrong , by this time a few more bikes pull up , then he starts shouting at me (cant hear what) and then to my utmost believe starts ramming into my pannier more and more , and even with all the bikes around him revving and beeping doesnt stop.
I wish I was wearing my SMX’s with the alloy heal because as I found out rubber Sidi heals dont break headlamps no matter how many times you belt them , however then the lights turned green and off I went.
madness

go for the wingmirror

£200 of damage in one hit :hehe:

It’s nuts out there

i don’t know why bikers go for mirrors i personally think its a stupid thing to do then they don’t have mirrors so they cant check behind them and change lane in front of us

yeah & if you smash their headlights they won’t see you when it gets dark & could knock you off ? :hehe:

“then they don’t have mirrors so they cant check behind them”

Oh you are a wag.
Because car drivers know what mirrors are for and use them all the time

If someone had pushed my bike I would have been tempted to have a word…

if that happened to me id smash his head in not punch a headlight lenses or brake a mirror

I did consider but was thinking if I get off he will probably run my bike over and I cant be arsed with all that

while you was doing seeing whats up did ya get the plate?

could have got off, plenty of other bikes could see what was happening - loads of witness, or you could pull away turn off land et him pass then tear past and have his wing mirror, its not really worth it but it used to make me feel better:D

I had something similar a while back. An impatient driver annoyed I was able to filter earlier edged into my bike whilst I was stationary and cracked my numberplate. The traffic was jammed anyway, but his impatience wasn’t worth it because I got off the bike and remonstrated with him till he contributed to a replacement. I understand exactly mikeyray as what happened to you has happened to me several times and I don’t understand it.

The sun does seem to bringing out some nutty drivers!

I thought biking in Italy and Rome was going to be intense, but getting back to London was way more so. Straight away getting cut up by buses, cabs and mad drivers.

Is it just me, or am I seeing more cars trying to “filter” than normal. Maybe they’re just Adison Lee employees with a day off ::unsure:

Mate you had all them witnesses and you didn’t go through insurance for the scratch to your pannier, trauma and whatever else you want to add? He probably wouldn’t have stopped to exchange details so thats a hit and run which means no licence.

Fair play for letting it go I say… Not worth getting into a dispute about it, the driver was clearly up for a confrontation…

Probably wound up because he had Andrei shouting at him for nothing at the previous junction

^^^

kick his farckin head in

The police would do absolutely nothing about a situation like this. I got hit by a driver turning right without indicating in to me while I was filtering past and he also failed to stop at the scene. The old bill got all the details and even sent a bloke to get the HD camera footage of the incident which has the blokes number plate, and they still did absolutely nothing.

Don’t assume that the police are going to get involved with incidents like this, because in my experience they don’t give a monkeys unless someone gets killed.

£400 if it’s a Volvo.

I shouldn’t be laughin … but I am! :hehe:

So how do you take a mirror off properly? Think I tried a few times and all I did was flick it back:( Do you put your foot up? Punch it? Smack it with handle bar?

Not from experience at all, but based purely on the mechanics of the item in question.

Mirorrs are designed to bend backwards, and in some cases, forwards.

Not up and down.
