From Monday learners hoping to gain a full driving licence will have to answer more questions (50 in total) on the Highway Code.
Here’s a sample of 10 questions, set by the Driving Standards Agency, any or all of which could appear in real test.
You’ll need to get at least nine correct to achieve the new pass rate.

Not exactly rocket science, I got 10. Just had to think about the parking distance from the corner one, correct guess!

The highway code was never the problem - it is that ridiculous hazzard perception part!!! Anyone half decent spots the hazard long beofre the person who designed the thing thinks its a hazard - must have been designed by a cager!!
Yeah now try it with a non biking cager and see what happens “what I cant drink coffe and drive while on the phone thats odd”
10/10 - they even had my favourite Burgundy coat question!
I feel like a failure even with a pass. 9/10. Damn parking near a junction…
10/10
The thing is, I really don’t see how people fail the theory tests in the first place, it’s bloody easy
9/10 for me too:Whistling:
I was stumped by the Parking close to a corner question:crazy:
I don’t measure the distance, just use common sense;)
Shame that doesn’t work with speed cameras
Erm…??
90% pass rate is pretty tough though.
Not when you life is on the line it’s not.

10/10 no rocket science involved, anything else would have been a bit of a worry
Oh the shame! 9/10. I really didn’t know they had guide dogs for the deaf, I thought it was a trick question!
God Damn it ! :pinch:
The junction got me too.
The test questions are a good grounding, but not many drivers pay attention to these facts when out on the road. You’re just going through the motions in order to pass.
I saw a ‘P’ plate driver this morning pulll across 3 lanes on the A12 at about 20mph … not good road sense on a 40mph road.
