Have just ordered these babies from HG in Stockwell. They’re a special order as they only stock them in a size 7 in the US, but FB Paul at Hein Gericke has managed to convince Alpinestars to import one pair for me. This is particulary impressive when they don’t even keep this specific boot in stock!

Haha yeah these look great, was actually looking for something similar recently - high boots but not too stiff. These look like you can actually walk in them without looking like a cowboy
Look great. May I ask how much? I’m in the market for some new waterproof boots and the A* series seem to be the only ones that for the shape of my feet.
FB Paul is a legend - such a nice guy and brilliant at customer service. Thank goodness people like him kept their jobs when HG were in trouble. The boots are £330. Also tried Alpinestars Tech 3’s which were great (£189), but with my history of getting caught in the rain and getting wet feet and with Mr Jets fondness for fords, I decided Gore-Tex was essential!
Hopefully the soles will be as flexible as the Alpinestars Tech 3’s - they seem to have a hinge mechanism that allows you to flex the sole - might be worth a try Russ. Will let you know how I get on when they arrive.
