Following Ali-cats purchase of an ER6n on Saturday I now have permission to change my 1998 Bandit 600n for something else…yipppeeee!!!
Means we now have the Bandit and a Suzuki Van Van for sale.
My new bike has to be something I can use for riding into London but is nice enough for weekend riding.
I’m now thinking of a Hornet 600. Bit more modern looking than than Bandit and lighter and more chuckable. Anybody got experience of them?
Also been thinking of Honda 600CBRF.
Probably looking at the £2500 mark as not sure I can wangle anymore.
Anybody know of any interesting bikes for sale. Want the 2000 on Hornet with the larger front wheel, would like 2003 on as has larger tank but may be too pricey.
I’ll be looking at something around the £1400 mark. She’s done less than 21,000 and gets some admiring comments so I’ll miss her but want to move to something lighter etc.
CBR600F would be a sensible buy, supposed to be great machines with the usual minor honda faults (cct, not great mpg) but nothing major. Can pick up some great models for £1700-2500. Might even get an F-Sport for that.
Had a hornet before, excellent bikes and make you ride a fair bit quicker than you really should. Poor tank range but solid motor and just generally a great machine. I had an earlier one, 98 to be exact. The tanks got bigger on the 01 onwards models I am led to believe. I rate them quite highly. As do a lot of commuters it seems!
