Been a while since i’ve been on here, I have been asked by my friend to work for his new bike shop that he is currently working on. Going to be opening in the new season just north of london, so rather close. I believe he wants to make it an ‘old skool’ style bike shop with clothing and parts.
Really looking forward to it, and makes a change from shops closing !
Let me know what you lot think, and also if you think it should be called something else !

When is “the new season”?
Traditionally the seasons in Britain start on a mix of pagan and church quarter days, so: Spring on Candlemas (February 2nd), Summer on Mayday (May 1st) Autumn on Lammas (August 1st) and winter on All Hallows (November 1st).
Can’t think November 1st is a great time to open a bike shop unless it’s selling a lot of Polarfleece base layers and some waterproofs that really are that.

I believe he is looking at opening shop from march 1st onwards, Gets through the winter that way !
No fixed place is set, that what he is currently looking at but is rather particular with it all, just off the A10 or A1M and just outside london is a certain though, cheaper property apparently.
ill show him this thread when im next round his. He will need all the support he can get by the seems of the times …
Tappetts may actually be a good one to go for … ? Keeping it pretty unique ?
