New Bandit 1250SE info sharing

Hi all,
Not been active on the forum for a while. No excuse I know

I am interested in buying a Bandit 1250, the new job with the ABS system and improved engine eco bits and liquid cooling etc. All sounds nice. Improved handling etc. etc.

Wondered if anyone has test ridden one or can let me know what sort of bike it would be as a mini-tourer stroke A B road weekend rideout vehicle. Or even, would anyone have the kajingos to take it to an evening track day this summer?

Any info greatly received.

Sounds like you should go FZ1-faired or VFR (VFR probably the better choice all round)

Ooh I rode an FZ1000 last year, the unfaired version and didn’t enjoy it - perhaps it was when I was at the repair shop after a bump and was still a little ‘fazed’ out (bad pun there…)

Have been pondering this weekend on what litre bike to go for and there really isn’t much choice when I rule out sports bikes on the basis that they are uncomfortable (in my opinion) due to the lie-on-tank riding position, and also everyone wants to knick them. I have also ruled out super motos as I’m not convinced they’d make great tourers. BMs are a tad too pricey, and don’t know anything about Triumphs.

I am being fussy here I know but I feel I am only left with FZ 1000, a bandit 1250 or as my right honourable friend said, a VFR800 (yikes, pricey). Maybe I’m swaying towards the FZ 1000 as there are likely some decent finance deals on and you can get a demo bike to try out. The Bandit 1250 is a no no anywhere for a demo.

Please help…

Anyone tracked a FZ 1000? Maybe I need to get a trailer, a bandit 1250 to tow it with, and an old R6 for the odd track day. Decisions decisions… I want a quite life…
