recently perchesed a r6 on a 53 plate with a meta alarm but i have no certificate and my insurance needs one.
ive tried the show room where it was perchesed from and meta direct but with no joy.
any one help???
I don’t have a certificate for my alarm but the insurance hasn’t asked for one. Who are you with?
They won’t ask for one at the time of taking the insurance out, but if you declared the alarm as part of your security package (and got a discount because of it), if/when the bike gets nicked and you can’t produce the certificate…they won’t pay out :doze:

check what difference it makes on insurance with and without. I has a similar situation with a datatool.
I had no certificate but it made no difference on insurance if i included it or not. so i took it off (the insurance).
Whenever I’ve got a policy from a new company they’ve always asked for the installation certificate.
It’s a bit of a nasty gotcha if it does get nicked though and you can’t find it :-0
