Need Advice- Where to take lover for weekend

Okie, so I want to surprise my lover with a weekend away trip. He is into bikes and Cars (both vintage and new stuff). I want to make it special and not to “tourist based” like Brooklands for the muesum or Brands Hatch…

Can you guys suggest something…?

Thank you.

Money is not a problem either, as long as it is the UK, though e cheaper the better

Up the wrong’un.

Whoops, I thought as it was a “general” Question, it was okie here…?

You’ll get used to it

Hello and welcome:D

What bike have you got

If your serious about the cars and bikes, find a decent country house hotel near the Haynes collection, Sparkford, nr. Yeovil. (cars) or the Sammy Miller collection (motorcycles) about 10 miles eastof Bournemouth.

Or a place between the two and “do” both.

If your looking for pure romance, try Burgh Island hotel (burghisland.com) off Bigbrough.

Don’t come cheap but what a place. If nothing else, visit the net site.

How about spending the weekend taking him heaven and back?

Seriously you could spend the weekend down in the new forest, really nice down there and you also have:

The Beaulieu Motor Museum

How about:

A weekend at the Hangar Lane Holiday Inn (right next door to the best branch of Infinity Motorcyles you will find).

Only half a mile from the Ace Café, our fave place for Saturday lunch sausage sandwiches.

Very close for a visit to:

The London Motorcycle Museum (not to missed)

and many more excitiing attractions

Let us know when the great event takes place and someone might be able to organise a ride-out too

Wow, you sure know how to treat a lady ;)Did you go to the same school of romance as my husband??

Would like to point out that I was refering the choice of hotel to ‘romantic’… the rest actually sounds ok… :)

OK then, try this for a romantic hotel:

www.hotelromantic.co

The owners like leather-clad boys (on bikes or not). It is a lovely hotel and the resort is quiet and only 20 mins from Barcelona. Ride outs include Salvador Dali Museum, Montserrat, and lots of lovely Spanish roads! Try the sardinas at any of the beach-front cafés.

What’s this "Did you go to the same school of romance as my husband?? [BigGrin] "

School of what? I come home, don’t I? What more can be expected?

Romance is more than a silver handled wheelbarrow.

I am a loser. I have no bike. I have no Scooter. Hah! I don’t even have a licence!

Is this strictly voyeur action, or is participation allowed. :w00t:If you want action-based then try the Yamaha off-road school in Wales, perhaps not romantic as such, but lovely countryside and plenty of sheep.

However did you find your way here then

You’re more than welcome however, and have just won the ‘obscure question to ask a load of bikers’ award

Welcome :hehe:

Oh…I’d second the recommendation of the motor museum

Want to thank everyone for their replies and suggestions.

To answer your questions…

-I am a loser with no wheels. My guy is currently bikeless as well as he blew up the engine of his Import 125 bike…Needless to say Ride outs are off the list on this trip.

-The trip is taking place this weekend due to it being a bank holiday. Exciting :stuck_out_tongue:

-I have a vauge idea about bikes/ He is crazy about th and want to learn more…Hence the bike themed weekendem
