My wheelie school experience

Hey all, well i know i went nearly 2 weeks ago but ive been so busy i havent posted…so here’s how it went.

Great day. little intro to the basics and how it doesnt require brute force or power just the right technique. After some practice learning the correct rev ranges you start putting into play the rear brake and thats where the fun starts!!!

Its a tough day and a big thanks to Tiggi for driving me home so i could catch flies on the way  !!!
I wouldnt recommend the practice on your own bike on the day until youve got the skills but thats a debatable point im sure has been debated alot in the past and on many forums!

looking good man! did having having tiggi on the back help with balanace or does it not really make a difference? how much was the day? if u dont mind me asking that is!

Nice, did it take long for you to get the hang of it? Looking like you were on pretty decent form in the vid.

nice one

You didn’t look like you needed much more help there mate

The day was £200. You dont get a discount for taking your own bike anymore but i believe if you book as a group its about £15 - £20 cheaper.

It seems like you’ll never get it when you start out but if you are determined and have a little bit of confidence (balls) it soon comes together. It’s funny really because if you listen to everything he says and follow the technique exactly as he says it all comes together!

I recommend the guy. He’s really down to earth and has all the time for you. You also get a little bit of a show with some impressive stunts he pulls. Another bonus was staying up there in a lovely B and B the night before. That area of the country is lovely.

Off to the south coast wheelie school next weekend with a bunch of mates, I have high hopes…

Lol, no way would I go pillion with Davebez whilst he’s still learning :stuck_out_tongue: I went pillion with the guy who runs the wheelie school, Jimmy Fireblade, was great fun :w00t:

I’m really impressed with your vids and am planning to go to Jimmy’s this year with a mate.
Did you go up and back in one day or stay somewhere as its quite along trip to get there for 9am.

Looks like you got it nailed there. Nice one!

we went up and stayed in a nice little B & B for the night. I think it was about £40 - £50 for the 2 of us and we had a cracking breakfast the next day! Then it was 10 minutes up the road. There was no stress trying to get up early and drive 3 hours.

Tiggi didnt take part so she drove me home while i caught some zeds. It is quite tiring so id recommend breaking the trip up by staying before or after if you can.

Looking good mate  you’ll have the bug now…every chance you get ;)
