Lets say someone was going flat out 182 on the clock on an un named motorway, was breaking real hard and when cars get in the way then screwing off full pelt when they finally moved! This was a 50 mile journey. Upon looking at the rear tyre dunlop sportsmax qualifier its flattened off over the center 3 inches. Anyone know of a good gripping tyre that will last a bit longer on the straights?
What tyres are on this theoretical bike to start with?
Michelin 2CV’s? I’m interested in these as the thou gobbles up Diablo’s on the road.
Tyres are dunlop sportsmax qualifiers. Seem to be really soft compound
That’s johnp on his Nexus!
Have you looked at Pilot Sports? They’re dual compound.
Cheers. Just looked on their web site. Think i’ll try the pilot power 2ct and see what they are like.
you could try the avon av46…i have normally blitzed my tyres in 1000/1200 miles. the av46 has lastest 3500 and now they f**ked…
2 CV’s ? How do you fit a couple of french wagon’s to your bike then ?
2ct’s have the same compound in the middle as normal power pilot’s
there just 20% softer on the edge, i must say after running many corsa’a i find the 2ct’s have more grip alround.
There very good in the wet to, VERY GOOD…
Will have to see about how long they last.
You thou bous will just have to face facts…
Unless you put a sports touring hoop on its going to get chewed!!
come to think of it anything you put on that gixer will get chewed jay
